States end in divorce?
Year after year since 1975, the ratio
of divorces to marriages in the United States has been between 48 and
51 percent (1, 2). More than half of divorcing families include at least
one dependent child (3). Regardless of the reasons for the divorce,
the experience results in painful disruptions of the lives of everyone
involved, especially the children.
